With the Carpe Iter Power Source cables for the CI Pad (versions v1, v3, v4, and v4b), you can safely and reliably connect your accessories to your motorcycle. Choose the right variant that suits your bike and usage needs.
This power source automatically switches on when the voltage in your motorcycle’s electrical system rises above 13.5V (for example, when the engine is running). This ensures a stable and reliable power supply for your Carpe Iter tablet while riding. This version has significantly lower power consumption compared to the red version.
Note: If your bike cannot maintain sufficient voltage under load, this cable may not function properly. In that case, it is better to choose the red variant.
Use with LiFePO Batteries: If your motorcycle is equipped with a LiFePO battery, it is recommended to connect the power source to an ignition-operated auxiliary power outlet. This prevents the battery from being significantly drained before the power source switches off.
Regular Use: If you don’t use your motorcycle regularly, consider connecting the power source to an ignition-operated auxiliary power outlet. This prevents the battery from draining when the bike is unused for extended periods.
This variant provides constant power regardless of whether the engine is on or off. It is an alternative solution for motorcycles that have trouble maintaining voltage above 13.5V under load, where the black cable does not work properly.
Note: If you connect this cable directly to the battery, it will continuously draw power. Leaving the CI Pad connected for a long time with the engine off may result in a fully depleted battery within a few hours.
To prevent battery drain, connect this cable to an ignition-operated auxiliary power outlet (mind the maximum power rating of the power outlet — see the CI Pad manual for details).
