    Product description

Thanks to numerous technical innovations, the Touratech Suspension Plug & Travel EVO semi-active suspension system raises the riding characteristics of the BMW R 1200 / 1250 GS to an unprecedented level. These electronic shock absorbers get the maximum out of the GS in terms of riding comfort, reserves in extreme situations and safety in critical situations.

The setup of this semi-active high-end suspension system has been consistently tailored to the needs of demanding adventure bike riders, who tolerate no compromises in the performance of their suspension system, even when riding with a full load on difficult surfaces.

The semi-active suspension elements of the Touratech Suspension Plug & Travel EVO suspension system have been completely redeveloped, taking into account the experience gained from millions of kilometres ridden with the DSA (Dynamic Suspension Adjustment) / Plug & Travel suspension system, which has proven itself over a period of ten years on every track in the world.

These electronic suspension elements can be used to replace the standard Dynamic ESA shock absorbers on the BMW R 1200 / 1250 GS without any modifications to the vehicle. Installation is now even easier thanks to the new, slimmer layout. All standard plug connections are retained and operated as usual via the standard switches. All the presets provided for by the vehicle manufacturer for the various riding modes and payload adjustments are available as usual.

The new EVO line does without an intermediate control unit and processes the data from the central function unit (CFU) directly. There is no need for time-consuming teaching of the electronics. In addition, the integrated control system is able to immediately take into account all software updates installed via the BMW service, so that no additional suspension element update is required.

The electromagnetic valve, the heart of every semi-active suspension element, was developed in cooperation with the Dutch specialists from JRZ Suspension Engineering. The particularly high-quality springs, with characteristics tailored to riding with luggage, are provided by Eibach, the world-renowned manufacturer of performance suspension systems.

The design of the new Hyper Flow damper piston suppresses oil foam formation even at very high damper speeds and guarantees consistent performance even under the most extreme loads.

The low friction seal combines the best durability with a low breakaway torque, ensuring sensitive response in all riding situations.

The new, particularly robust electric preload adjuster for electronic adjustment of the spring preload offers an impressive torque and ensures quick and reliable adjustment of the vehicle balance when the load changes.

For easy presetting of compression damping, the new EVO line provides an easy-to-operate rotary knob with an easily readable scale. This also enables less experienced users to reliably implement individual, reproducible suspension system setups.

The progressive end stop gently brakes extreme spring compression to provide maximum comfort.

Best durability thanks to minimal tolerances distinguishes the high-quality Uniball bearings. Their rubber seals are particularly pressure-resistant and effectively keep out dirt and water.
